Favourite Corner

I will usually accompany Jonathan on the bed during napping time or bed time. I’ll offer my breast to him for the last time of the day and hoping that he will go to sleep with a sweet dream. Occasionally, he will still be awake. With the pacifier in his mouth, he will toss here and there, rest his head on my chest, climb on me, until he finally in dreamland.

I was too busy with work in the office last week until I have no time to read blogs or even write a post on our Cyberhome which I normally do during lunch hour. So Saturday was a perfect day for me to catch up on blogs. I got hooked to the PC so I left Jonathan boy on the bed, hoping that he will fall asleep on his own. At times, I can hear clinking or banging sounds as he’s trying to reach out for things place on my side table. I will turn around to check on him so to ensure that he don’t go too near to the edge of the bed.

After some time, I can hear no more noises. I turned around and to my surprise, my boy has fallen asleep BUT in this position…

Lately, he loves to sleep at the corner of the bed. On some nights when I am too tired to watch him sleep, we will see him fallen asleep at the corner the next morning. Quite scary huh? But I’m all glad cause my boy is growing up. He no longer needs us to coax him to sleep.

That’s a good start!I learned from experience that as long as we are within his eyesight, our baby will feel very secured and tends to doze off by himself 🙂

yeah, i agree with huisia to put a mattress on the floor just in case he falls down.

i’m very afraid of lyan fung falling down. so, i always have him in the crib.

daddy didn’t watch lyan fung the the other day and he fell from the mattress to the floor and cried. poor thing….

wow, jonathan is one clever boy, as he knows it’s the corner and he must not go anymore further! clever boy hah…*clap clap*

as for rachael, she is always turning and tossing around our bed, so we still hv to put all the pillows/bolsters as a barrier…

perhaps put a mattress below the bed so if he should falls, he wont be in so much pain 🙂

Huisia – I normally put pillow or bolster surrounding him. Perhaps I should consider putting mattress.

Christine – Normally if he fall asleep on our bed, we will move him to his crib after that.

You must really watch Lyan Fung especially now that he knows how to turn around.

Caroline – That happened to me before.

Agnes – I thought of bedrail but they are costly and I need more than one.

Littlelamb – Philip like to sleep at the edge too?

Mistymom – He is going to be 1 year old. I’m still bf him but not exclusively. Not much BM to express since I started work.

Lil Prince’s Mum – Jonathan will roll and toss around then ended up at the corner.
